Yeah, Spielberg hasn't done much but disappoint for the past twenty years or so, but I'll end up seeing this for Daniel Day Lewis. If he could single-handedly make the otherwise dreadful Gangs of New York nearly watchable I'm sure this will worth my ten bucks.

Holy Fuck was this a great movie. You can't say Spielberg hasn't matured and taken his place on the top shelf of filmakers after watching this. 2.5 hours and not a single off note. (I was worried he was going sappy in two spots but he pulled it out with a flourish.)

How good was this movie? Even giving a small part to the kid who plays the dopey boyfriend on Girls can pull you out of the film. I was tearing up like a radio host who heard the other F word during parts of this because it was so good.

If you are smart enough to get Ron's jokes you will love this movie.
