See this movie.

I'm happy to say, this movie succeeds on every level. Acting.... directing... score... and, perhaps most of all: it's thought provoking.

You should know, the commercials and trailers are just a tad misleading. This story is not 100 percent focused on the amazing crash landing of a commercial airliner, but rather... Denzel's character's addictions... and how he chooses to deal with the decisions he's made over the course of his lifetime.
All that being said... this movie does not preach. It does not have a "message". It's not about the steps. It IS entertaining.

I give it the highest possible score. A+

It has to be better than Denzel's train movie from a couple of years ago. God was that a piece of crap.

Coming next, Denzel continues his travel themed movies as he is a bus driver during the storm of the century in a fictitious east coast city.

The movie is serious and unpleasant. That's a good thing but I was squirming for much of the 2 and 1/2 hours.

Hey Paulo, I have a plot related question. I think I missed something:

At the beginning of the movie, when the plane first starts to malfunction... the copilot wakes Whip (Denzel) up. Does Denzel do coke right there in the cockpit? I heard a reviewer (Peter Travers) tell it that way, but that's not how I remember it.
Do you recall exactly how it went down?

That's how I remember it too, Paulo.
Strange that Peter Travers would retell it so incorrectly in his video review... which is, otherwise, totally on-point.
