And just some real talk, one of the reasons why post modernists reject values (re: irony) is because they've become disillusioned that they cant have teh same experience that has been built up by the previous generation (re: ron wont shut up about classic rock.) Therefore, the only way you can have your own, authentic experience with material that has become valueless is to purposefully to the opposite of what's intended.

Those donors probably don't think it's important as long as they do good things with the money.

I worked for Habitat for Humanity. Plenty of our donors had no idea it's a Christian organization, or did know and didn't care, because they know it's a good cause. In fact, one of my bosses at Habitat is strongly atheist.
