Saying "I hate country music" is as stupid as saying you dislike the entirety of any genre, but FM country music radio is damn near unlistenable, becaues it plays the worst of the genre, the slick, overproduced Nashville factory shit. And country music should not be "slick" in any way.

So I wouldn't listen to this station, but back in the XM days, I could listen to something like Hank's Place all damn day.

I bet 94.7 could not sell advertising so they flipped format.
I can't believe any program director thinks country will last in nyc. But for the short term, I bet plenty of adversting dollars are coming in.

He claims he miscalculated. I believe he was sincere, but trying to predict the future from bible passages (or Mayan calendars) isn't easy. Unless, of course, he was correct, we've ascended and THIS is paradise.
