I thought the sexualizing of the little girl in Moonrise was creepy because shes obviously Wes Anderson's fantasy, she's a 12 year old Margot Tannenbaum. So that's a little creepy because the boy is a surrogate for him.

Pepper was talking about being creeped out by kids and it came up. Ron said he thought she was older, hicks confirmed she was 12, Ron said he thinks it's creepier when people who older actors playing teens and having atypically confident teenage sexual encounters.

I definitely agree with that. I don't know if I'd call it creepy with older actors, but the way the Moonrise kids interacted rang truer as a childhood romance than the typical Hollywood move of casting 25-year-olds to play high schoolers.
