Fez isn't wrong. People dont quite get how hated Lance Armstrong was even when he was popular and winning. He was widely considered a cheat his entire career, and then went on to alienate the people that actually liked him. Like Fez said, the people that liked Clinton never stopped liking Clinton, he just had to remove himself from the scenerio where it mattered that he had an opposition.

And even when he was doing dirt no one thought Clinton was a prick, whereas Armstrong has a personal rep for being one.

True but if that same individual remains fixated on that fear throughout 40 to 50 years of life, is emotionally paralyzed in all aspects of life by the fear and hangs onto it as it threatens his career and sanity then it's pathological at that point.
