....Paul W.S. Anderson? Who wins.
By the way, I saw David O. Russell was filming in Boston but will delay until Monday.

Wes Anderson...
or Paul W.S. for the joke answer.
PT's second, and surprisingly I think I have enjoyed more of W.S.'s movies than Russel's.

Paul Thomas Anderson is going to be in that top ring of directors like Kubrick and Kurosawa and Leone, if he's not there already.
Wes Anderson, to me, is just too one-note. You know going in his movies are going to be quirky, and there's going to be an awkward love affair, and probably some '60s pop will get played at some point. He doesn't make bad movies, I'm not saying that, I'm just saying a certain sameness has crept into his work.

Calling Wes Anderson too one-note is like calling the Beatles too one-note. You can always identify his films, but they are FREAKING BRILLIANT.
I don't think David O. Russell is in the same category as the Anderson's, and I agree that in 40 years PT will be remembered the most.

I tend to agree that PT is the man. They are all smart (except for WS the dumb Anderson), but I think PTA is indeed on the level of Wells and Kubrick. Aronofsky also seems very smart. They have all created strong resumes and will likely have long potent careers. They all have cults of personality.
