I watched Family Tree last night. I think Ron is missing the tone of the show, I thought it was funny but it's also looking like it's going to be introspective and nostalgic. It's not like a light, character driven absurdist thing like most of Chris Guest.

well, yea...that too. my chicken and tuna salads recipes are pretty similar. salt, pepper, mayo, mustard, bacon, red onion, pickles/relish (for the tuna only), taragon, crushed red pepper.

with the tuna salad, spread that on a toasted english muffin, slice of american on top, and drip some woschestesterscheshter sauce on top and put that under the broiler for a min till the cheese melts.

chicken salad goes on a roll, extra bacon, mustard, and some dipsy doodles...put them shits right on the sammich.

My sister and I used to beg for a home lunch. My Dad made us eat school lunch because he said he always wanted a hot lunch when he was growing up and could never have one. If it wasn't pizza, it was barely edible. I hated school lunch.

Moving right along, I have lived in New Jersey most of my life. My family goes to Wildwood for vacation every year. I played hockey through high school, and my son has played since he was 5 (he turned 16 Friday).

I mention all this because I have met a LOT of people from Pennsylvania, including the Philly and Bucks county areas.

Ron is the only person I have ever heard say the word "drawling". I think it's a made up accent. :happy:

I always enjoyed a chicken patty sandwich or some chicken nuggets. I'm pretty sure their lack of meat is why I like morningstar chik patties now.

They renovated my school though and the new food vendor they brought in sucked, the only edible thing was the deli line.

Looking back on it, school lunch was better than the cafeteria my freshman year at college. We'd order Chinese and Domino's practically every night.

Prep School was a nice straight cash cafeteria, so if food wasn't good, they lost money. For me it was manicotti, burgers or BLT's with mustard almost every day.

You guys reminded me how in the cafeteria on appropriate days they would just sit out a crock of mayo for people to dress their sandwiches with and it would get like a sunflower yellow skin on top. Now that I wouldn't go near.

Mayo in a squeeze packet is also gross.
