I respectfully disagree. I think it's a great idea for a scene pulled off by terrific actors.
Take the N word out completely and it's still great.

It's not my style. It's a writer flexing his writing muscles, but I dont think it fits into the character or the movie for me. I'd rather you build a character's subtext through action rather than words. So I respect your respectful disagreement, it just has a lot to do with my own prejudices.

MLS games are packed. They average like 18,000 per game. I'm not even a fan of the league, because I'd rather spend my time watching the vastly superior European leagues, but the "nobody shows up for soccer" thing is just not true anymore.
