agreed. and I love cooking. People take it way too seriously when it comes down to "sacred rules of grilling" so to speak. There is an excellent weekly article on deadspin.com called foodspin.com. It's hilariously written and really shits on people that pour so much faith into the rules when cooking or grilling or whatever.

But I think there is a legitimate argument against "checkpoints". To wit:

Look, there weren't any ridiculous demands from the cop and everyone is crying like a bunch of fucking babies about freedom of this and that.
