Entertainment maybe isn't the right word but I do think people use the trial to normalize themselves emotionally or to grab attention by attaching their opinion to such an attention comanding arena. It's a way to compensate for the numbess and isolation of everyday life.

Two things I'm surprised haven't been covered on the show are that train explosion in Canada that blew up a whole town, and that kid in Texas who is in jail for making a sarcastic comment on facebook that was taken as a terroristic threat.


The second one because that is actually a free speech issue, the government is seeking to prosecute a person based purely on language, when they constantly bring up fake free speech issues where people boycott something because they dont like Paula Dean or whatever.
