Well, they could say the series is a prequel to "The Avengers". But this is the comic book universe so they'll probably never mention it.

The amazing thing, of course, is that Clark Gregg is getting work after being on "The New Adventures of Old Christine".

Feel free. If a show has aired and you've not watched, you should know to stay out of the thread. As someone who hasn't seen any of the new run of superhero flicks except captain America, I enjoyed this show.

Marvel calls them Life Model Decoys. They are biomechanical clones with all the memories and personality of the original. There's a few in SHIELD already (Nick Fury uses them all the time). It's the go to trope for bring people back from the dead.

Yeah, it's a cop out. Even worse is the whole "clone" thing. They use that a lot too. At least the LMD is something that evolved out of a story (I think that they are lesser models of The Vision, but not sure). Then again, the clones came from a storyline with The Jackyl, so maybe they're equal.

The other thing they do is say that the dead one was a Skrull. I think in the movies, the Chitari are supposed to be Skrulls, but I'm not sure. Comic Skrulls are shapeshifters

The show is off next week, and I feel it's gotten moderately better with the past few episodes. They need a shake-up, maybe killing off some characters and gaining some new ones. The character of Sky isn't realling working. She just comes off as the spoiled hot chick from high school that wouldn't give you the time of day.

Coulson and May are the two most interesting. The others just haven't really stood out.

It's definitely picking up. I think Fitz and Simmons have some potential, in a Willow/Xander vibe. They just need more time to develop more complex characters
