I'm on delay and it sounds like my father's family was a lot like Ron described his...I have uncles that I have never met because of "something," learned that my favorite aunt was actually my cousin, an aunt did something so terrible that they pretend she doesn't exist, and more than one sibling (I my father had 10 brothers and sisters) wasn't informed when their father passed - they know how to hold a grudge

Listening to music but I know that this doc is critical that business people require movies to be commercially successful in order to finance them, so they're going to shit on comic book movies for sure.


But go fig that no one is going to put up 30 mill for a movie they have no hope of recouping or if they finance something want a say in the finished product.

Like I said, the solution is for you to require less money, not to require fewer restrictions from the people with the money. It's dishonest to pretend that desiring the equity of good actors, good equipment, high distribution etc is different than the equity of financial gain. It's two sides of the same coin.

Not to mention these ideas usually reserve some level of contempt for the audience and its' tastes. The good ones will say "hey, I like popcorn movies too but I believe if we put art house movies out there they'll make money too. Just give people the option." where the more snobbish people will act like the babies just want their ba ba's.
