it's gonna be interesting to see Syracuse in the ACC, challenging Duke and UNC for a title. Then next year Louisville joins that mess.

No doubt. I'm anxious to see what my Cats look like against Mich State on Nov 12, their 3rd game of the season, #1 against #2 , should tell us a lot about both teams.

Could be overrated at #1 preseason in my book

somebody's gotta be #1 to start the season. They have more talent, more depth, and more returning players than last year, should be closer to the 2012 team than the 2013 team.

the way MSU was fouling UK wins with about 60% free throws. Terrible free throw shooting.

other then bragging rights for whatever position you're in or the ability to say top 10 or 25 what's the point of ranking in basketball ?
it has no relevance to playoffs/ bowls like in football and is prolly just there for betting and recruiting purposes

An elite 8, two final fours, and a championship in 5 years, after Tubby and Gillispie? No, definitely not. There's still a lot of season to go, and a chance to coach some heart into this team, if not, a lot of them will have to come back next year, as of now I think we only lose 2 to the NBA. But I don't blame Cal.

He could live like a rock star every morning in Lexington, instead, he goes to morning mass every day, then goes to a dinner in the back of a pharmacy and bullshits with the old timers that hang out there drinking coffee.

Will he have to vacate his "homey" life the way his teams have forfeited so many of his previous glory seasons?
Seriously, is there an active coach who has more sanctions/penalties against his teams than Calipari?

way to parrot media bullshit. Calipari was completely cleared in both of those situations, he has NEVER had a violation, or sanction. Those were both student violations, in what way did Marcus Camby taking money from a couple of agents, and then being blackmailed by those same agents, benefit Calipari or UMass? It didn't, and the NCAA found no reason to believe he had anything to do with it. And as for Rose at Memphis, just look it up, I'm too bored to explain it to a parrot, just look it up, research a little Polly, instead of just repeating shit.

Sorry, I'm totally wrong in that Calipari is obviously the victim here. Rule violations continuously & coincidentally happen at programs that he runs.
We should all say a prayer for him.

What is this pathetic instinct to see somebody happy that the team they've been a fan of their whole life is succeeding, and take a big ole shit on it? Whatever.
5 seasons at KY, no trouble, no smoke, just 4 elite 8's , 3 final 4's , and 1 championship, so far. Scoreboard haters!

Absolutely no proof of that. None. If there was, the NCAA would happily pounce on him.

Guilty as charged. And Braun cheated and got caught. I hope they test him everyday of the week.
It still doesn't change the fact that John Calipari is the only coach in NCAA to have the wins of two different Final Four teams vacated for rules violations.
