if I was in NYC tonight, I'd go see the Gin Blossoms at Stage 48. Fuck the haters, I love a good 90's band. Saw these guys once on their way up, right after New Miserable Experience came out, at a small college gym in Springfield Oh. Probably Wittenburg, they put on a good show.

you might be right, but I did enjoy a few songs on the second album. Follow you down was a decent song. And Found Out About You was pretty strong.

I saw them in concert somewhat recently. (last summer... they were on tour with Sugar Ray, Lit, and Everclear)
They SOUNDED really really good but, holy shit they were boring to watch. It almost looked like we were watching them rehearse.

Good tunes though.

I think they have a good overall catalog, probably lost some of their passion since they became a State Fair band.

I've never really needed a lot of pyro, or stage antics, just give me a band that performs their songs well and I'm pretty happy. Probably stems from the fact that my favorite band growing up was the Cars, and from all the concert footage I've seen over the years, they pretty much just stood there. Also, the first concert I ever went to was Jackson Browne, he sat at a piano most of the time.

two of the best shows I saw were johnny winter and jorma, in both cases they had to lead the guy out to his chair and sit him down, then come get him later. np

She was so wise.

I saw The Gin Blossoms back in college. I went because I liked their songs, but their show was pretty dull.

Indeed it does.

I don't care if he asked or not, I'm saying what I feel like saying! So there!

Gin Blossoms and Soul Asylum both had some good songs. Found Out About You is solid. It's plaid shorts rock.
