I'm not sure I would give long odds on Fez not doing this. Given his proclivity to see every action in the world as gay-bashing I'm pretty sure that he could find a lawyer to take the case and, if not save his gig, could shake down Sirius for some extra going away (quietly) money. After all, this is the same guy who claimed he had MS to deflect some heat from mgmt not too long ago.

But obviously I don't know what the terms of his contract are. He might not have the same.e protections as a "normal" employee.

I disagree, that is exactly what will happen, eventually. Ron is tired of seeing his reputation as half of a great radio duo turn into the poor guy who puts up with Fez.
If Fez would walk away, like he should, Ron could continue and rebuild a good show, but because of loyalty Ron will never run Fez off, so he has to end the show.

My money says that is what he is trying to do now, but I fully admit that there's a very good chance Fez guilts, or promises his way out of it again.

He's floundering now, he's liable to do anything. And he can claim the company is discriminating against him based on his long documented mental health issues, and that the callers have undermined his position on the show with constant slurs, all without naming Ron.
It'd be a batshit crazy move, probably garner national attention.

The replay didn't cover the whole show. Based in what's been covered here I have to guess that was a deliberate call by Ron or management. So I only got the 1st two segments with pissy, willfully ignorant Fez but not meltdown Fez nor the boys being called into the principal's office. Worst of all is no Ed Burns interview. ;)

not saying fez isn't off, at all since day one, but ron is no fucking saint in this at all

funny how everyone aligns themselves with the louder/stronger guy too

i get he's still funny, but also the alpha on the show…a very vocal and leading one

so is it REALLY odd fez lost it when Ron no longer backed him starting back with esd and earl leaving? once fez lost Ron's backing, he lost his stability to be off the wall and protected. truly, Ron surrounds himself with the old whack pack mentality like Stern and he when he tires of you he doesn't stop you from being on said show, he just attacks and berates you day in and day out. here he even changed the feel of the show away from anything of Fez's interest too, not just asides like in the past, the whole show overall. so instead of it sparking new tricks in old dog fez, he fell back within and it all became about himself and what's wrong, what's needed and of course his sexuality/family/health dominated. this simply put him in the full shell, especially as show hanger ons took Ron's lead and just pounced on Fez (HTG/ESD/Peps), or just plain ignored him.

the show as we KNEW IT is long gone, so it's hard to feel for Ron here or Fez…time to fucking move on for both, but it would have been nice to have it out for real instead of Fez blaming callers and the people RON puts through to say what HE wants to hear…same with "guests" that just pop in like Mikey D. Ron tried to act like some, if not most of this is just coincidence. Sorry, no chance.

the topic is so 6 years ago, but I read all the comments on it as I listened but couldn't post and couldn't believe the one sided approach to the final breakdown here. OF COURSE Ron will continue and Fez probably won't in the biz, it's mainly bc Fez was an add on just like a ESD or Pepper, not the core that is Ron. It's not some mystery at all, but to just hate on Fez like some have is just off. All but making Ron some hero that just can't take a situation he not only helped create, but also poked and prodded for years, then tolerated/rolled on? Seems SOOO fucking off it's comical. Ron has a quick wit and is a funny fucker, but man some of you kiss the proverbial ass WAY too much and have gone all out b star fucker in here.
