Tonight is the last Best Show on WFMU. Would've liked to see that in filtered excellence but it didn't involve a Last Waltz cover band or a movie opening on 1 screen in New York, or any other kind of star fucking. Just one man who has turned out a consistently excellent, totally original product, for no pay, for 13 years.

Here's the crux of the matter. You can have creative freedom OR money. They want creative freedom AND money. When you provide the money you get certain considerations.

Within thresholds and I dont think it's equal either way. I think a 'good worker' will improve or degrade more with their pay more than a 'bad worker' will. And I think a good worker working poorly will outpace a bad worker in all scenerios.




One of the meta themes of the show is that Ron respects talent way more than work ethic. Work ethic will give you better over a longer period of time.
