That was a strange analogy. Ron's first point was best though. Fez was saying how it could get him involved in the show from the beginning, Ron said something like, "but you're the host, you can be involved in the show at any point".

I guess from an advertising standpoint it makes perfect sense to replay all the mentions of the channel change. But from an entertainment standpoint it does nothing for the current fanbase. So yeah, it blows.

I've noticed that Ron only cuts off Fez when Fez starts saying something that doesn't have a point of view.
He doesn't like it when Fez just states a factoid.

If they're talking about football... Fez will mention how many weeks are left in the season.
If they're talking about movies... Fez will maybe mention how much the lead actor got paid.
Or whatever.
There's no point of view. No opinion. No take. No spin.

For example.
A few weeks ago, they received some flashlights as a present. Hicks and Ron were bantering back and forth that "flashlights are shitty gifts" and "if you give somebody a flashlight, you're basically telling that person that you hate them" and so on.
Ron prodded Fez to jump into the conversation, and Fez said "they're very bright."

Ron isn't interested in a comment like that. It has no value to him.
