He'll wind up apologizing if the media picks up on it.

Probably, but it still cracked me up.

Read the article. Nothing like having the "Babe Ruth" of your sport talking about how its progressed and become more mainstream
Then showing what a dumb hillbilly he is.

Oh I read the article, and I know he shouldn't have said it. But, she really does stink. She's driving the same equipment as Johnson, Gordon, Earnhardt, Stewart, but she seldom even finishes on the lead lap. She has a ride that guys with multiple wins in the Nationwide series deserve, but she brings with her a big money sponsor, so she gets a great ride. She's done nothing to indicate that she can win at this level.

Good luck with that.
I'm totally not anti-woman in NASCAR, and I'm being completely honest when I say that I watched a lot of Indi car races when Danica was driving them and rooted for her,I thought it was cool that she was succeeding in the sport. But the stats don't lie, thus far she is far from succeeding in NASCAR. It would be great for the sport if she would, but even with the best equipment in the field, she hasn't shown any indication that she will. I'll be happy for her and the sport if she ever finds victory lane, I'll be shocked, but I'll be happy.
Either way, it was the wrong thing for the main ambassador of the sport to say such a discouraging and hurtful thing.

He's made his feelings clear about her before, and never apologized. I don't think he really has anything to lose, so why would he?

Glad to see Dale Earnhardt Jr win Daytona last night - just feels right.

it was an exciting finish, and it's always good for NASCAR to have the most popular driver win. The new chase/championship format should be fun, oddly enough, if last year was done under the new format, Dale Jr. wins a championship. I'm sure that's just a coincidence, there's no way NASCAR would redo their entire point system to favor the most popular driver, right?

I gave up on the race around 5:00 CT.
I was actually surprised to see this morning that they had gotten it all in last night. (Or at least I'm assuming they ran all 200 laps)
It was good to see Gordon in the mix at the end, and starting the year with a top-5.

yeah, they ran all 200, turned out to be a fun race to watch. I really thought Gordon was gonna have a chance at the win, but he was better off giving Jr a push. Good start to the season for sure.

I feel bad for jeff gordon in a way cause in the early days of chase I think he would have won 3 more titles under old format

the only thing I know about this is it was hilarious that everyone was reacting to last years replay as if it was live.
