Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was on last night and this is listed in the sound track, although I'm not sure where in the movie it is.

Forgot how funny Chris Rock is in that movie too.

A couple of my friends are breaking up, the dude I've known for 15+ years and the girl for another 7 or 8. She asked me to help her move out this weekend. Shit thats going to be awkward.

Poor Ron didn't hear the level of enthusiasm about the unmast on the O&A show.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler more beloved.

And for me, Broad City.

I believe it was just a blatant reference to Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream." A story about people living inside of environments created by a malicious artificial intelligence.

Although, Shelby saying it's the white version of black bike week is funny and accurate. Everyone bailed on this city this weekend, and a lot of the stores downtown were boarded up or caged off. It was a mess.

I thought it was a perfect ending, it's the only way it makes any sense for a grown man to spend so much time telling his kids hoe he met their mother.

Yeah, in Miami. It's a massive yearly EDM festival that happens in downtown Miami over three days.

They were talking about it on the show, so I mentioned it.

This would be the third high profile EDM festival cancelled over safety concerns?

LA booted Electric Daisy Carnival and I forget which one last year was cancelled early after so many people OD'd on bad molly.

realmenhatelife

Denzel is closer to Cruise, Samuel L Jackson isnt.

Ron almost said it right, but we're talking about guys who are a genre not just an actor. Tom Cruise makes Tom Cruise movies and he may be the only person on that level.

the comment was supposed to be that Fez seems so normal in the halls and yet a weirdo on the air...why then did she keep saying that she "doesn't listen to the show"

I believe he legitimately changed his contract to some kind of short term deal during the transition but they figured out pretty quickly they were going to lock him back down. I think it was more of a security blanket just to have the idea.

Absinthe used to kill people because it was usually a bathtub style liquor drunk by people who were already drinking themselves to death.

And the sugar cube was to curb the taste.

(pre-emptive strike - yes, longtime lurker, seldom, make that never poster)

Yeah, I know this is a 3 week callback, and only 1 or 2 will even care, but I did subscribe and am enjoying it so far, will I keep the subscription? For now yes, just playing it by ear.

Anyway, the only reason I called this back was for a couple of RnF related tidbits: 1) thought it was interesting that Perrynoid came out of hiding to record a show-opener for Don; 2) was interested to find out today that Don actually contacted Davey Mac a couple of years ago about being his sidekick while Don was still on in Sacramento. Apparently he played one of ESD's podcasts for the bigwigs at CBS, it didn't go well....

have no idea how Don would have worked with Dave, but that is interesting...Don with Ron would be an awesome show, but they would probably kill each other trying to be the alpha male

That is interesting... I follow Dave on Twitter and he re-tweeted Don the other day saying that he loved the Davey Mac Sports Program and that his podcast company should take a look at him. So there is a connection there. If Don hires Dave as his sidekick, I'll get a lifetime subscription!

As it is, I'm thinking of subscribing anyway for a couple of months to see what the new podcast is like. I used to listen regularly to the old Don and Mike Show back in the day.

Don was fucking awful and only dave in a large role on air is worse. Fucking awful is putting it lightly. If they somehow they managed to team up and crush everyone's ears and sensabilities. Putrid podcast.
