That's what I was thinking. Later in the show suddenly Fez will appear with a big fanfare and announcement that he was renewed. Then he'll sound great. Then by Wednesday he'll be a crying mess again.

I don't get to listen much, but I've read he's been a lot better.

The format of the show has changed and the focus is less on Fez. At least 1/3 of each show has several comedians in and Fez does well/isn't noticed in that scenario.

But when Ron is at a down point in the show, and the focus is on Fez he's just as frazzled and weirded out.

He does interact with the comedians now, and gets in some good lines, so there's where most of the improvement lies.

Ohhh Ohhh my show is on PBS up against one of the most popular shows on the planet and we dont have the advertising budget of a show that generates all that revenue ohh ohh ohhhhhhh.

Like anyone watches stuff on time anymore. And I'm pretty sure his show is funded by the BBC anyway. So they have the money they just arent spending it.

Fez is better but he still gets messed up. His lows arent as bad as his lows before. He's not strong enough to push Ron's boot off his throat when Ron feels like putting it there.

Like RMHL implied, people record things. I ALWAYS am watching at least two shows in that time slot. Often we record a third that we have to watch in the other room.

The difference is that Dave was always bucking the system. Fez seems to know how to work it to his advantage, so I'm not at all worried for him.

There was a great little moment last week on the O&A Show.
Ron was in studio with them... and the three of them were talking about the upcoming live taping of Unmast at Carolines on April 16th or whenever it is.
Opie asked Ron "Hey... is Fezzie gonna be there?"
Ron said "Yeah"
And Opie immediately said "Oh! Cool! So... he's been re-signed then?!"
And Ron was actually speechless. Tongue tied. It was actually a funny little moment. After a moment, Ron stuttered out some half-assed phraose like "Ya know... Opie... it's... I mean, why would you?.... Aaaanyway... Unmast...Live at Carolines..."

Good stuff.

I had no idea who she was before Saturday. I think she was very entertaining and adorable.

I've only read a little about him since his death (not that I didn't know who he was). From what I read, he had gotten down to 250 from around 450. But there was also talk of past "abuse" (didn't sound like it was just about his weight). It doesn't surprise me that his doc would sign it off as being natural causes. It sounds like the guy did a lot to improve his health, after too much damage done in the past. Either way, from what people say, he was a really great guy.
