I can't help but feel that everyone in this world has a person that they are destined to be together.

I have a friend who just seems like she "fits" so much with me, like the final piece in the puzzle. Too bad she's with some other guy at the moment.

Awwwwww dont worry Vegeta. If you guys are meant to be and are soul mates fate has a funny way of getting two people to come together. I believe everything happens for a reason, and maybe she needs to be with this guy at the moment to learn to appreciate what she has with u :)

I'm going to have to put in my two cents, because I'm bored.

As an atheist, I do not believe in a soul, and therefore, soulmates. I think the concept of soulmates exists because of our relative insignificance in the vast population of billions of men and women...take a step back and you'll realize that your circle of friends and acquaintences is disturbingly small. You've only been exposed to 1/1,000,000,000th of the possible personalities that are out there...even after you've found that one special person that complements you, there is ALWAYS the possiblity that something better is out there, and occasionally you'll run into that person. I'm a starry-eyed lover myself, too quick to fall in love, too devastated when love ends, and too quick to fall in love again, and know all-too-well that I am inexperienced in the grand scheme of things and always will be.

So don't limit yourself to the thought that there's one special person for you. There's thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands. You've just gotta look a little longer.

Besides, if you limit yourself to the thought that there's only one person out there for you, that person might just be Moshin.

Just because you're an athiest, doesn't necessarily mean that you don't believe in souls. And I don't really believe in souls anyway. I'm just using the term soulmates.

By the way, I'm vegeta, with a new name! How do you like it?

VEGETO - Love the new sig!

While not subscribing to the theory of souls, I take it you're using the term "soul mates," to refer to a person that is completely right for you; someone you're "meant" to be with.

It's certain that some people just mesh together like complimentary parts of the same unit, the total being greater than the sum of its parts. That's the way it is with my Horde Queen and I (16 years and she continues to amaze me.)

It may be corny, but I sincerely believe that there is a person out there for everyone. The trick is being able to recognize them, and to encounter them at a time where you are both looking for a relationship of this sort. It's not easy to find the "one." But (s) he does exist.

Try to keep this thought in mind. You're much better off, spending an extra few years looking and winding up with the right person, than letting your yearning to find your "soul mate" overwhelm you and ending up with a person who is not right for you.
