I have to admit that I too have the nail biting thing where I bite the nail until i can't bite any more of it; if there's excess skin i'll eat that, and occasionally i'll take like the metal part of a mechanical pencil if I see a piece of skin that could be lifted but i can't get it with my (lack of) nails or teeth.

There's a guy at work who sit's across from me, and he constantly sticks his pen in his ear, rolls it around in there, and then looks at it!!! Then later in the day I see him sucking on the same pen!!!! UUUGGHH!!!!
That guy is so gross!! Oh yeah, he stinks too!!

I must admit (since I didn't do it before) that whole biting the inside of the cheek/mouth thing. It's constant, I know when I am doing it and cannot stop. People scream at me all the time to stop. I grind my teeth really really bad at night, I wake my BF up all the time.

I bite my nails very low too, but not to the skin...
I look at it as being better than smoking and I've never broken a nail...
Although there looks to be some advantages to having some nail, like back scratching and getting knots out...
