here's what we know:

Alicia Witt and Topher Grace star.
Cousin Larry Appleton is a beareded professor. (I think I missed some due to laughter)
Nathan Lane is the father feature.
It's based on a song no one knows.
It could be a remake of 16 Candles with Alicia Witt as Molly Ringwald and Nathan Lane as Paul Dooley.

I thought of two potential 'plots' for the movie which all depends on the direction Larry Appleton's character takes.

And the Skeeter Davis song which I can't get out of my head is called "The End of The World."

He was an American soldier.

She was the daughter of an evil alien leader determon to destroy the eath.

Their love was strong, but was it strong enough to stop "The End of the World"

Alicia Witt and Topher Grace star in the next billion dollar motion picture, based on a Skeeter Davis song.
From Twato Productions.

great job Pantera, here's my little spec script for Paul O's billion dollar movie. It's not even funny, just a lame representation of things.

A Twatto Production of a Paul O film:

The End of the World

Meet Peter (Topher Grace) and Lois (Alicia Witt), two college students just living an average life in a relationship many dream of but few ever accomplish. Unfortunately, things are too good to be true and trouble reaches the young couple as they encounter strange experiences, misunderstandings and appearances neither of them can successfully explain.
A despondent Lois seeks solace, unsure where to turn, finds it from a most unlikely source, her father (Nathan Lane), who had abandoned her at an early age but is now, during this trying point in her life, making an attempt to reconcile a relationship he thought had been lost for years, and they finally connect in a heavily emotional way that just shows that redemption is possible.
Meanwhile the Professor (Larry Appleton), a "creepy" former teacher at Peter and Lois' college is ousted due to his outrageous experiments. He has made a startling discovery regarding the universe and all we know. Together with his only friend and supporter, Peter, they must work together to save us all.as well as saving the relationship Peter so missed.
Will the Professor and Peter succeed? Will Lois return to Peter? Will true love succeed or will we have to face. The End of the World?

Reviewers say:
"The End of the World" is the end of the line for Oscars. Gih gih gih
Topher will surely "Grace" the Oscars with his appearance

This feels like another culturally refined fine feature film brought to you by Orion.... the same people who brought you the life-affirming classic "Robocop 3".

(But I bet Robocop 3 saw more money than this thing will.)

Larry Appleton was just his name on the show for the record, its not the actors actual name.

Mark Lynn Baker was his name but it's just funnier calling him Larry Appleton
