as far as just sitting around with some friends and laughing, i'd go with Mallrats...bu Dogma is definitely very close cuz you wind up doing a lot of thinkng throughout the course of that movie.
i have nothing useful to add.

Clerks by far is the best. When Randal tries to figure out how the empire rebuilt the death star using independant contractors. Plus the fact that Dante wasn't suppose to be there just tops it. Chasing Amy is in a close second because of Hooper's rant about star wars.

I love all of Kevin's movies.
I just wish he would drop Ben Afleck once and for all.

Mallrats and Clerks. Weird thing is I hated Dogma the first time I saw it, now I like it. I loved J&SBSB the first time I saw it, now not so much.

hmmm...which one do i like the most ::retorical question::
well first off mallrats is without the a doubt the best, first off, when you watch the tv version with all hte added scenes its like watching a completely different movie, so mallrats isreally like 2 movies in one. it also had the best commentary track of all the dvd's
my second favorite view askew film is not a smith film, it's 'a better place' written and directed by vincent pirera (view askew historian) about 2 kids growing up on the jersey shore, it's just an insane movie, especially the last 20 minutes, a must see for any view askew fan
third is ofcourse clerks, actuallyi should have that up to with mallrats, i mean it started it all, and ofcourse had the distant cousin of brodie, randal, as one of the stars
next is dogma and jay and bob strike back, the most recent movies, dogma is just a great challanging of religion and views of religion, it's a thinking movie, and one of smith's smartest films. jay and silent bob stike back is great because, well as hooperx put it at the end og the film, "they took the charecters and made it into one 90 minute long gay joke." i really hope it's not the last inthe series, jay and silent bob must return!
and finally chasing amy, i dont hate chasing amy, it's an excellent film, the whole banky/holden relationshipis classic smith (brodie and ts, dante and randal, jay and bob) but it is my least favorite of his films, i thinki just dont like because everyone else loves it so much

I can't believe I hadn't posted on this yet...
It's tough picking a fave, since they're all so different <tho "Strike Back" and "Mallrats" have the slapstick thing happening>...
The best film of the bunch is "Chasing Amy"...there are moments in that film that really gets me right in the stomach...
I guess my order would be:
1- Mallrats
2- Clerks
3- Chasing Amy
4- Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back
5- Dogma
I dunno...I didn't like Dogma a whole lot...it had moments, but god Matt Damon makes me itch.

I'm pretty pissed right now. Mallrats was on FX today and I haven't seen it in years, when I turned it on their was only like three minutes left. :(
