i dont know what the big deal about seeing the shuttle is,i saw it and heard it several times a year back in the 90s and it wasnt on the back of a stupid airplane

thats the thing. you saw and heard it several times. for the rest of us, we've only seen it on tv unless we specifically went down to the space coast to watch a launch (which im glad i managed to do)

but on the back of a plane makes it seem lame,it shoulda barreled in and made some sonic booms,that shit is impressive

I still like that news story that has been making the rounds about a new prototype multistage rocket jet that can take you from any place in the world to any other place in an hour. Going to Japan from O'Hare would be bad ass...

when i heard the sonic boom from re-entry, i thought some kid had thrown a basketball on a metal roof :laugh:

Sometimes when they do the Kiss Cam at sporting events, they point the camera at people who appear to be siblings. Always gets a laugh... I guess.

I would have judged the couple had they aggressively snatched the ball or knocked the kid out of his father's hand. I don't necessarily have a ton of respect for people who collect things, but I think it is profoundly disrespectful to judge a baseball fan (regardless of age) for wanting a souvenir baseball.

I like fans to act like fans. What good is it if you are in a stadium full of people, like Ron, who sit on their hands and just watch the game?

Fez's problems are boring now. I'm way more interested in what happened to Ron as a kid to make him rail against anything that could make him appear even slightly childish. Fantasy movies, comic books, now catching baseballs.

I don't know, I think as a fan you give the baseball to the little kid. If the girl's worth anything, that also looks better to her than you giving it to her.

I would be a little annoyed if he caved to a crying kid. The lessons in this whole thing is that if you unintentionally make a kid cry, the media will paint you as a jerk and the crying kid will always get a ball.

Fez isn't anti-gay. Fez is a man who was raised conservative and, while he likes men, doesn't respect gay men.

Imagine if you are heterosexual male anime nerd and you want to meet a girl at an anime convention. It would be easy to assume you are not straight because 98% of the girls you meet at the convention repulse you. It doesn't make you not interested in women, it makes you incompatible with your intended dating pool.

Fez wants a young gay man, but he ultimately doesn't have the same interests as the typical openly gay young adult. He probably could find a closeted comic book nerd / pro wrestling fan. Actually, one of my best friends is gay, a comic book/wrestling nerd, and a licensed psychologist. Would be perfect for Fez except my friend is not a young adult or particularly fit.
