There's nothing wrong with that. . .I've done it myself many many many times.
I'll agree that the not needing to spend $$ right now is a big bonus, but the cold, empty bed is a minus I don't particularly care for, now that I've gotten used to having a special someone there in the mornings
I spent one recent NYE broke, on my couch, with the cat, MTV, a 4-pack of Korbel and my brother. No New Year's kiss, unless you count the nose-rub from the cat, but not an entirely unpleasant evening.
The only thing missing was Dick Clark, America's Oldest Teenager, and his "New Year's Rockin' Eve" show. . .MTV didn't even show the ball drop! I was highly ticked, but I got over it.
