what to serve with smoked chicken?
So I bought a new smoker (for the purists I'm sorry to say I went with propane....charcoal is a pain in the ass and too hard to control the temp in the winter) and am loving it! Have smoked a couple of brisket, ribs, a pork butt and all turned out great. I'm going to do a applewood smoked chicken this weekend and am stuck for what to pair it with.
Suggestions on a starch and some vegetable sides?

Everyone needs an appetizer.
Have you ever had ABT's?
BBQ crack I tells ya
Here's the basics
I add diced onions and 3 cheese mexican mix shredded cheese to the cream cheese and use breakfast sausage rather than the lil smokies.
I"ll be making some pulled beef and these tomorrow.

The rice could work....was thinking couscous would be an option.

I've OD'd on zucchini lately so thats off. Stopped at safeway today and no summer squash but I do have an acorn squash that could be smoked.

They look very tasty but chili's are hard to come by in that quantity in these parts (not enough mexicans I guess).
How do you smoke your beef?

The garlic and horsey potatoes sounds good. I have some baby spuds that would be good with the skin left on and roughly smashed.
Beans could work with this.
THX
