I loved that interview. That was a great time for music they were talking about. I also was surprised about the American Bandstand lip synch story. Whenever I saw artists lipsynching, which was done most of the time back then, I assumed the drummer HAD to play his part. But here they put some kind of buffer between the cymbals so they didn't make sound. I never figured that.
