I guess tehey didn't learn their lesson with Willy Wonka that newer and "darker" doesn't mean better. They are remaking "Clash of the Titans". Why? Got me.

Disney is looking to do a new version of a few movies:
Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Escape from Witch Mountain, The Black Hole, and the Kurt Russell teen movies.
The ultimate disrespect will be remake of North by Northwest due out in 2007

Thanks, my friend. I read it as well as "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" and most of Roald Dahl's books in my childhood. None of that, however, means that the new film version is a patch on the ass of the old film version. Books are books, films films. I can list numerous books that I liked that were made into films I liked, along with good books that made bad films and bad books that made good films. Let's compare films to films. I'll even bring in Superstar for this one.
Original Willy Wonka film: Good!
New Willy Wonka film: No Good!

You'll soon be able to meet George Jetson and his wife Judy in theaters. Warner Brothers is making a live-action film based on the classic cartoon The Jetsons . The movie will be written by ADAM GOLDBERG, who is also busy working on the remake of Revenge of the Nerds. No word on when The Jetsons will hit theaters...
