best movie ending

I just finished watching fight club again and was wondering if i could get a consencious on what movie has an ending that not only raps up the story but expands on your knowledge of the story.

Truely makes the movie a pice of art

  Scarier than Jaws!

Even though it's Kenau Reeves I gotta say the end of Matrix is awesome with the cocky and vague warning to a system of authority is about to be rebelled against and that leads into Rage Agains the Machine. Never walked out of a theater more pumped. Except for the time I sat between Spoon and Reeshy. Big ups to the Wachowski Broth... uhh... Siblings.

Ok, this one is a little know movie from the early 80's called "Last American Virgin".  The movie is basically about a dorky kid who falls in love with this hot chick, who likes and bangs his buddy.  After his douchey buddy impregnates and dumps the girl, the dork steps in and helps her with everything.  They kinda start dating and then go to a party together, when the dork walks in the kitchen, his buddy is making out with the chick again!  The dork runs away from the party to his car and statrs driving down the street as tears fall from his stupid eyes.  The CREDITS THEN BEGIN TO ROLL!  Your sittin there goin...WHAT THE F???  Thats how it ends?  But the more I thought about it, I think it was one of the coolest endings ever!  It left me wanting to punch a hole in the TV screen.   Good low budget 80's flick!

the speech brian cox gives at the end of '25th hour' was amazing, and the final scene was classic

the ending scene between the young kid and sam jackson in "fresh" was genius

i remember people walking out of the theatre from Rocky and they were all mumbling, "he lost?"  at thr time it was a great suprise ending.

i also remember people talking about how great the ending of Alien was too (for its time.)

 

i like the end of natural born killers (driving off in a motorome with kids and a bong,classic)
