Don't blame your lack of a Winter Carnival gift on a lack of action in the Comic Book threads - blame it on your treachery and abandoning the board for PalTalk.
That said, anybody try the new Marvel online comics - I know they have been around for a while, but they just started their subscription service where you can read a lot of back issues and most of their new titles.
I like the concept, but find their interface awkward. You can zoom, but you can't move the book around where you need it - the page only moved vertically, not horizontally. Maybe they have improved it since I tried it, but it kind of sucked.
The fact you can't download the books is also a down-side for me. They tout the internet based interface as a 'plus' since you don't have to add any software to your system or take up disk space with downloads. However, you can't read the books offline or any time you want. That's a down side to me.
Yeah, Phishy and I discuss comic books and Bowen statues virtually every day.
Speaking of comics, when in MN, I got a gift of a CD-Rom containing every issue of Uncanny X-Men from 1963 to August 2005. I'm almost at the end of 1964.

As cool as it is, my biggest problem is that I have so many variations of all those issues. I own archives, collections, essentials, reprints and original issues.

I only started collecting in 1994, and have only seen a couple of reprints plus some TPBS (Dark Phoenix, Mutant Massacure, Inferno), so for me, it's reading most of the issues for the first time.
