Its almost that time, fools. I just picked up my tickets for Rutgers opening day game against Cincy. I can't fuckin wait. Already through almost 1 full dynasty season in NCAA 10 also. COLLEGE FOOTBALL, BITCHES
1. Florida (53)
2. Texas (4)
3. Oklahoma (1)
4. USC (1) 0-0
5. Alabama 0-0
6. Ohio State 0-0
7. Virginia Tech
8. Penn State 0-0
9. LSU 0-0
10. Mississippi
I LOATHE Preseason Polls. The only reason they exist is for the TV Networks to sell games.
That being said, who's the team that at the end of the year you'll be wondering how they were ever ranked? My vote goes to Virginia Tech. They open with Alabama right outta the gate (I think they get hammered there, and they've got Nebraska early too).
The thing that seems weird about the poll? No Big East teams. Cincinnati was the closest with 90 votes.
Less than a month before the season opens September 3!!

Rutgers fans are soooo cute, they actually think they have a good team and a chance.
considering the schedule, they actually have a very good chance to win the Big East and 10 games. Everyone of their tough conference games is at home and their out of conference schedule isnt exactly powerhouse
It's like they're not even trying to play out the schedule to make their picks.
Not sure who you think will win the SEC West? Cover your ass and put Bama, LSU and Ole Miss all in you top-10.
Same for OU and Texas. Same shit every year. It's a toss up, so everyone puts both into their top 5.
I was surprised to see Auburn get as many votes as they did.
With their schedule, they have a shot at starting out 5 - 2, or possibly even 6 - 1 with a little luck... but it gets murderous at the end. They could easily lose 3 or 4 of their last 5.
And Rutgers is gonna go into Byrd Stadium and DOMINATE the bum Terps
Sure....just like they did a couple years ago right?

Mississippi and Alabama don't have to play Florida this year, which is a boost for them (but LSU does have to play them). The end of Ole Miss' schedule is tough but manageable; they've got to go to Auburn, and then they've got Tennessee and LSU at home and Miss State in Starkville (helps that they have a Little Sisters of the Poor matchup with Northern Arizona before the Vols come in). LSU shit the bed so badly last year and I don't know if they can really recover all that fast, seeing as they're really really young this year (61 freshmen, most in the SEC), and their schedule is pretty rough (a trip to Athens followed by home games with Florida and Auburn and then late season trips to Tuscaloosa and Oxford)
Florida's schedule this year is an absolute breeze. The toughest road game they have is LSU, and that's in early October, so even if they lose that, it won't kill them in the end. They could run the table very easily.
I'm gonna predict a USC/Florida title game. I see everyone in the 12 knocking themselves out on each other, and the other conferences just aren't that good.

Rutgers is off to a good start recruiting for 2010. They also just brought a kid in for this year who was in Penn States class.
Natale will start this year, and I think Shiano will redshirt Savage so he can use him for 4 years. Although if Natale gets hurt they could burn that cause Lovelace blows
I like how college has turned an eye toward really preparing these kids for the NFL by having them all get arrested. WHAT THE FUCK. Especially down there in Florida. If you guys would just pay the kids to come to your schools like USC does, they wouldnt need to steal shit.
I hope Florida somehow loses 10 games this year. I hate Tim Tebow so much. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR BELIEFS. SHUT UP. And I know he is a fuckin liar.
texas Southern for homecoming!? That's weak. yes, pick a team you know you'll beat but nobody wants to see that game. Should have gone with Pitt.
Also, 5 games not on Saturday? Did Rutgers join the MAC?
the main reason is to get the games on National TV.
And they didnt want to play texas southern. They spent 5 months tryin to get another 1A to come to Rutgers but no one would do it such short notice. That game was supposed to be against Notre Dame from that agreement a few years ago that ND backed out of cause they wouldnt play in Giants Stadium. So they just threw Texas Southern some cash to come take a beating
ND and Rutgers had agreed to play a home and home this year and next. I think it was like 3 or 4 years ago. But Notre Dame wanted the Rutgers home game to be in Giants Stadium because at the time, Rutgers Stadium held like 41000 and ND wanted a bigger game with more seats that they could get more ND fans into. Rutgers said no cause they had just started planning to expand the stadium for this year and didn't want to give a game up at a stadium they were gonna pay 100 million dollars to expand. So ND backed out
Screw ND then. That was just an excuse to not get beat at Rutgers. I saw the stadium about a year or so ago and I was impressed. I didn't expect it to be that big.

yea they closed it up and it really is cool now. The one side is built into the ground. If things continue over time, they have room to add even more to the second levels too.
Very nice.
Now the only problem I have with Rutgers is that all the students can't walk to the game. They have to get in their car and go 7 exits down the highway because apparently the Rutgers campus is 12 miles long.

they have buses that run all around to pick people up. And yea the campus is really big cause its kinda spread over parts of 2 cities. Trust me, you can get around pretty easy.
Besides you should be at the game way early. Me and Dash are goin to that game on Labor day and it starts at 4. Im plannin to get to the stadium between 12 and 12:30 and chill and grill shit. Maybe even lobsters. THATS HOW I ROLL
