Did anyone in the NY NJ area see a weird green light?

im tryin to convince myself that I didnt see a UFO. I saw the craziest shit just now. This green light just dropped out of the sky all the way to the ground in like 3 seconds

You don't have to live at the poles to see the aurora lights. If the sun has spouted out some serious solar wind in the past day, the lights have been seen as far south as Florida. I saw them myself out on the Long Island Sound years ago.

But what you probably saw was a meteor.
