WHY THE FUCK DO THEY RELEASE THESE ADDITIONS KNOWING THEY HAVE BUGS!?!?!?!?!?!?

That's what happened to me w/ the Pitt. Would freeze my entire 360 when I tried to advance to the Steelmill. It's fucking BS that they'd release a glitched product twice. Don't they test this shit?

Exactly...you figured they would test it. I love the game too, but this is too much. When I DL'd it, all of a sudden the VATS was sluggish as was jumping from places on the map.

Heads up to everyone. Wait at least one more day before DL it

Chimee 05-05-2009 10:21 AM

It's one of the good things that came from me fucking up my saved game. Now I'm going to wait till all content is out and working before I start the game again.

Doogie 05-05-2009 05:08 PM

Ok...since I loaded the download I know what the problem was. This DL is a huge one and it takes time to actually get acquainted to your game, especially a saved one. So when you DL it, start a saved game. Wander around for a bit, but try not to enter too many places. You will soon see a message "Broken Steel has been added. Levels now go up to level 30." Once that happens then you are good to go. Played for a while and had no problems since I wrote earlier.

For Xbox or PC?

STC-Dub 05-05-2009 05:38 PM

Downloaded, thanks for the hint about not entering buildings.

HBox 05-05-2009 05:40 PM

Everything this company releases is a non-functioning piece of shit. I don't know why people keep buying shit from Bethesda. I bought Fallout 3 and however good it was when I finally got it working wasn't worth the 3 weeks of working on my computer to try and get it working. It wasn't much better on the consoles.

I keep buying the stuff because its pretty good and solidly entertaining once it works, I consider myself fairly lucky I never had any problems with the original FO3 and only minor stuff with the first 2 DLC's. Broken Steel is a whole other story though.

XBox 360...I am enjoying the add-on now. Although the Super Mutant Overlords are a bitch to kill. They also now have a new perk where if Dogmeat dies he spawns a new pup and he will follow you around.

STC-Dub 05-06-2009 06:12 PM

I made it through the whole game without running across Dogmeat.

You find him in the scrapyard, around the backside of it. When you arrive early enough you find him fighting two very weak raiders and he kills them. You then go up and talk to him, and he joins ya. You can even find him much later in the game and is pretty helpful in letting you know baddies are nearby.

Also need to watch out for the Albino Radscorpions, they are a bitch to kill as well.

STC-Dub 05-06-2009 06:42 PM

Thanks, I found out where he was after I finished. I guess I could get my closest saved game to the end of the game and finish again.

He is really helpful if you want to find the Firelance

Chimee 05-22-2009 01:57 PM

I just stumbled across the Feral Ghoul Reaver and it killed me in about 3 hits and my full strength Terrible Shotgun did barely any damage to it. And it was just as I was feeling good about myself wandering around killing regular Ghouls with one hit.

Mikemantis 05-22-2009 02:08 PM

Man Fallout 3 is awesome. Never played the other ones but this is a great installment for Bethesda. It is not the best FPS (First Person Shooter) per say but the story and gameplay is amazing. It is a giant world and you can do anything, and be any kind of person you choose. the V.A.T.S. technique is a nice touch to compensate for the okay Controls of the FPS. This game will have you playing for hours and the replay value is very high. Cause it is always different when you replay parts. If you have the money and enjoy rps's i say go for it

You can. It's worth it. Dogmeat's the best.
I put off finding him until I thought I was leveled up enough to keep from him from getting killed, but the next time I play through I'll get him earlier.

Aim for the head. 3 shots.

Sure the have had problems... but there are few companies (and even fewer games) that do it better... I have Fallout 3 and all the DLC... I've never had a problem with any of it... to be fair I waited a week for them to correct glitches that couldn't or wouldn't be revealed in in-house testing.

So is it the extra week of waiting that you are angry about? 'Cause you come across as really angry...

angrymissy 06-24-2009 06:20 AM

A new DLC came out yesterday, Point Lookout. I had no idea there were more DLC's coming, I thought Broken Steel was the final, but there is apparently one more after PL as well (an alien invasion one!).

I played through the entire questline last night and it was really fun. My favorite DLC so far.

Didn't run into issues with this DLC being glitched or anything, thank god. I did have a load screen freeze once, and a few instances of lag, but that was it.

STC-Dub 06-24-2009 03:49 PM

Yeah, there was not much hype. I just heard about it last week and saw it was available yesterday. As soon as I get paid I will get it.

CountryBob 06-25-2009 04:43 PM

Is any of the DLC's available for the PS3?
Or have I picked the wrong system to play a game on again?

They are going to release a few DLC packs this summer...I think either Anchorage or Pitt are rumored to be due on PSN this month.

Chimee 06-25-2009 05:04 PM

I've downloaded Point Lookout and I'm going to dedicate my weekend to play through it.

JustJon 06-26-2009 10:55 AM

The Point Lookout card on the 360 says "available on the 360 first"

booster11373 06-26-2009 11:55 AM

Done most of Point Lookout, I would say this the best of the F3 DLC'S
