Why is this man still alive? Why is he making phonecalls? What are these people waiting for? Let me guess. If he dies it's open season on Israel right? It's been that way for how long now!? No I'm not jewish just one angry citizen who believes a dead Arafat is a good Arafat.

If you guys read up on the history of Palestine and the creation of Israel then you may not feel too sympathetic towards Israel, don't get me wrong, I don't support any terrorism at all especially these suicide bombings, but the people of Palestine have been abused by every country in the world, they are considered the peasants of the Arabs and Slaves to the Israelites. One of the reasons the people of Israel never killed off the Palestinians when they stole their land is because they needed them as cheap labor. I think that Arafat is the wrong leader for Palestine, but we can't just allow Israel to invade countries and kill their leaders. Before you come back at me with an opposite opinion just read up on the middle easts history a bit

I hate saying this but the Isralies are not going to do anything to Arafat...not directly. The possibility of going after Iraq in the War on Terror hinges on brokering peace between Isreal and Palestine. This is a very frustrating time for us all but I'm afraid that there is nothing that can be done to Arafat without jepodarizing the War on Terror. What makes it worse is that even though Arafat harbors terrotists, the Bush Doctrine that says if you harbor a terrorist you yourself are a terrorist doesn't apply to Arafat. That's straight from Bush himself. Man it sucks to be out there right now.

I think that Arafat is the wrong leader for Palestine, but we can't just allow Israel to invade countries and kill their leaders. Before you come back at me with an opposite opinion just read up on the middle easts history a bit.

I have, and I still support Israel.

And we CAN allow them to invade other countries if that country has pretty much openly declared war upon them, and bombs them on what amounts to almost a daily basis.

Israel is tired of the shenanigans. I say let them take care of business.

You cant say Isreal stole the land from the Palastenians bec if you go into history the you have to start with the origin of civilization. The bible states King David ruled Isreal with Jerusalem as the capital 3000 years ago. since that time The roman's, Turks, Brits all occupied that land. The name Palastine was given to that land by the Romans. I agree that the Palastenians should have a state so does Isael that is why they gave Arafat a great offer of 90% of the west bank which he rejected. He wants the whole state of Israel. another thing what Israel is doing now is completely justified. once you give these murderers the sense that they can accomplish their political goals by blowing up innocent people in restaurants on a daily basis then the world will become real scary place.

So let me get this straight: You want Arafat and the Palestinian Authority to stop terrorism and maintain order. At the same time, you support the destruction of the police force and all infrastructure in the West Bank. How can you maintain order when the bodies that are supposed to maintain order are being bombed and decimated... it's impossible. About Arafat... Would you hold Bush responsible anytime an American killed someone? It seems you wouldnt. You wouldnt say he harbors criminals, cause obviously its beyond his control... crimes will happen. Before you start plotting more death and destruction, try to understand why its happenning. If you're poor, jobless, angry and there is despair all around you, its no surprise that you Would turn to extremism, religion, and murder.

Have you ever heard of the 7 day war?,,,,where did Israel get all it's land from? and who wants it back?

Look it up in any history book, Palastine was created by the romans who were an occupying force after they invaded jerusalem and threw the Israelites out. 80% of Jordan is Palastine Jordan was created in the early 1900's when they inavaded Israel and lost in 1967 what was Israel supposed to do give back land to people who invaded them and tried to eliminate them? you dont get your land back once you lose a war you start?

Youre missing the overall point, there should be some sort of agreement but not under these conditions. Israel is willing to negotiate but not while murderers are blowing themselves up in restaurants.

Arafat is not a worls leader. Hes a terrorist just like Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. Just because you represent people doesnt mean youre a statesmen just look at hitler, Milosovic, Stalin did anyone think they deserved to live
