First I was told that it's from calcium deficiency then I was told that It's a bruise now I hear that it means nothing at all. My favorite has to be what I was told about them when I was a kid. My mom used to tell me that every little "cloud" represented a crush someone had on me. At one time I must have had 6 crushes at once. Thanks mom. So what do those little white clouds inside your nails mean anyway?

CHEEZEEMEE - What you're refering to is called "Onychomycosis" and is an infection of the bed and plate underlying the surface of the nail caused by fungi. Fungi called "ermophytes" attack the nail and live off keratin, the nail's protein substance.

Depending on the specific fungi, different discolurations may form including yellowish-brown, dark and foul smelling. White marks frequently appear on the nail plate, and the infection is capable of spreading to other toenails, the skin, or even the fingernails.

Which reminds me of a joke.
Q. Why are mushrooms so popular
A. Because they're fungi.

If youare refrring to the upside down half moons...if you have them, you are fine. it is when they start to disipate and weaken when you have to be concerned with a vitamin B-12 deficiency.

the symptoms of which vcan be misleading and mimic that of MS, Lupos or other autoimmune diseases.

I wish I didn't know all this shit
