HK, I have been tired and kind of run down lately...It cant be anything physical cause I just had all sorts of blood work done, and everything is clean. I just left my 2nd job, which basically had me working from 7AM till 9PM at night. I am now just doing my first job till 2 in the afternoon. The classrooms I work in are ultra hot, so I think that is part of it...and I do exercise whenever I can, but in general I have been run down a lot...could this be a reprucussion of working over a year those hours and my body is just tired?? Or could it be something else?? My sleep cycle in general is all out of whack...could that be a factor?? Much thanks in advance...

Do you smoke? Maybe you need a new bed. Maybe you're eating wrong. Too much sugar.

DOOGIE - Since you wrote that you've had bloodwork done, I'll assume you've been tested for mono, anemia, lymes disease and other problems.
Did you first notice a change in your energy level about 3 weeks ago when the wheather started turning really hot? The heat can be really energy sapping and many poeple are affected by the heat. Make certain you drink lots of fluids and wear a hat while outdoors.
You were working 14 hour days for over a year. You obviously weren't getting enough sleep during this time. Your body can definitely be worn down from those crazy hours and lack of sleep. It's great that you were able to leave your second job b/c now you can hopefully get more sleep and more consistent sleep. You indicated that your sleep cycle is "all out of whack." Getting to bed at the same time every night and waking up the same time every day can really help with these sleep problems and restore energy in the bargain. It will take a while to get used to your new schedule so give it some time.
Exercise is great for tired people! As counter-intuitive as it sounds, you generally are more awake and alert following exercise and when you do go to sleep you're more apt to fall asleep quickly.
Finally, you haven't mentioned whether you are taking any medication. Many can leave a person feeling enervated (drained of energy.)
