i read an article the other day that said people who get more sleep live longer.
well i get about 5 hours sleep on weekdays and maybe 10 hours of sleep on weekends, are these sleeping patterns unhealthy? am i going to die early? ive also noticed that, on weekdays, the later i go to bed, the less tired i am when i wake up, and i always wondered why. if i went to bed at 1am and woke up at six i would wake up less tired then if i went to bed at 10pm and woke up at 6.

I had actually read the opposite in Glamour. It said that is you sleep more than 7 hours a day you might not live as long. It said the norm now is between 4-7 hours per night.

Well, you're both right. At certain ages we need more sleep and at other times we need less.

Is Glamour a women's magazine? If so, numerous studies have shown that the optimal number of sleep, post adolescent is 8 hours. As infants and toddlers we need much more, and as elderly people we need much less.

So you're saying when I reach 80 I'll only need 5 minutes of sleep? DAMN! I'm going to bed!

Sleep - the biggest scam ever. It's just useless time spent doing nothing. I'm sure if you drank a couple cups of coffee an hour you wouldn't mind a thing.
