Poo never really got fired in the classic sense of the word, but him and Billy took "extended vacations" at the same time, Poo just hasn't come back from his yet. Honestly, if Ron and Fez didn't want Poo on the air, they could stop him from getting on the air, he'll be back sooner or later.

Personally, I think Poo just proved too unreliable, and Ron was upset that Joe let him down after they brought him back on the show so quick (after the previous hiatus).

Who cares??? Enough with the Joe Poo petitions and questions already!!! He was funny as a mysterious occasional caller, but having him there night after night being unfunny was just a bad choice by R and F. And how can u be "fired" from a job u never even had??!! Poo was never an integral part of R and F. I really cant figure out why everyone misses him so much. I dont think we'd miss Al this bad, and at least we've gotten real comedy out of him!

Obviously the people who care and are asking the questions are the fans of Joe Poo. Sorry that our opinion bothers you so much on wondering what happened to him, but if you dont like it then dont read the post and for sure dont post your opinion as if it is law and not respect our opinions.
With that being said the reason i think Joe is not on the show right now is because when Ron was sick he asked Joe to contribute more to the show to help save his voice. Normally i dont think this would have been a problem for Joe Poo but it was the first night of the WTC tribute in lights where the calls were more of a serious tone then joking. Being a sensitive caring guy doesnt work for Joe Poo, he is there for comedy not caring, besides how serious can you take a guy who talks in that voice.
Joe was a great person on the show becuase when he interjected his comments into a conversation it was usually on point and very funny. His al is queer jokes were great, but so to were the unexpected thundercat stories, or the nude beach and parents story or even joe getting stuck on the playground. He helped lighten the bits when the callers would begin dragging things on.

I thought Joe Poo got fired because he dipped Al's paycheck in a toilet. Then I heard that he got suspened or "extended vacation" and just hasn't come back yet.

However I must admit that I miss Joe Poo's banter and his ragging on Al. Then again anyone can rag on Al. Al is the biggest dork I have ever heard on the radio. Whether or not he is really that incompetent in real is irrelevant. By making himself look both homosexual and retarded on the air the audience then assumes that he is a tool.

Joe added a voice of discontent and a regular dose of sillyness. His poo eating shannagins added flavor to the show by bringing a different dynamic to the show.
