whats with me & exhibitionism??

Lately I've been obsessive with exhibitionism. This morning I got undressed purposely right in front of the big window in my living room because I knew there were construction workers outside.
The other night, my chick and I undressed eachother partially right on the subway... and this is only the beginning.

What makes people get into exhibitionism? Is it the attention? Is it the danger? I wanna know!!
also- is this illegal?

ANNA - Exhibitionism is classified by the DSM-IV as a sexual and gender identity disorder (one of the paraphilias.)

The exhibitionist gets off from exposing his or her genitals to a stranger. Sometimes the exhibitionist masturbates while exposing themselves; other times they masturbate while fantasizing about exposing themselves. It's interesting that no mention is made about exposure of the breasts, but rather exclusively the exposure of the genitals. Seems to me that a gender distinction should be made here as our society views the male and female breasts differently.

The Diagnositic Criteria are:

A. Over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges or behaviors involving the exposure of one's geneital to an unsuspecting stranger.

B. The person has acted on these sexual urger or the sexual urges or fantasies cause marked distress or interpersonal difficulty.

Sometimes the sexual thrill comes from fear of being caught.

Exhibitionism is illegal.

As a final note, certain other conditions can cause impairment in judgment to the extent that exhibitionism occurs.
