I was reading the faq and noticed it says something about promoting your website. I was including my sites url after my sigpic but I got scared and removed it (please dont ban me i fixed it i swear). Just wondering if this was legal or was I right for removing it?

You are permitted one url in your sig. So yes, you can link to your personal site.
