So the scene at RAW was set...

Vince waiting patiently for Austin to appear and eventually finds out that Tony Garea was referring to THE ROCK! The crowd pops madly, I assumed another bald headed rassler by the name of Bill Goldberg (probably too early). The Rock discusses his return is earlier than expected (July 11 allegedly) and goes on to tear Austin's ass a new one. He even notes that if you don't like want to be here (Austin) then... "Get the F Out!"

The line that really got me is this one... "Ausitn can take his ball and go home but as for the Rock is concerned... this is HOME!" *titantic pop*

Now this really makes me think, as WWEFallon said in another thread that they are utilizing reality and making it into a work. I smell another annoy Rock vs. Austin angle possibly culminating at Summerslam *wink* But this time Austin as the heel that has not worked prior and the Rock as the face in this instance (after becoming an apparent heel at WM against the returning Hogan).

Now do you guys and gals think that Rock's return is not needed or was it necessary to help with the dwindling ratings?

Screw the Rock!Ragging on Austin. Why doesnt he address what HBK said about him?Or why does he say the WWE is home yet is stupid movie came out like 3 months ago and now he comes back, only so he can leave in 2 weeks so he can shoot another garbage movie. The Rock sucks!I did laugh though when he was talking about being old! By the way I was just wondering if I was the only one ready to mark out like a 12 year old girl when Austins music came on?

I think that the WWE is doing damage control. I would like to think that this is a work, but I just don't think so. And personally, I think that prmo showed just how good the rock is on the stick when he is on, and god dam was he on last night.
Say what you will about the Rock, but in my opinion he as exactly what the doctor ordered. With all the lazy, bitchy main event talent you've got right now, the Rock is breath of fresh air. He ALWAYS works hard in the ring, iswilling to job to then any other main event, and most importantly is a face that the people care about. FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO THE WWE!!!

I didn't watch RAW last night....I probably won't be watching it for quite some time.....but I did read the recap of the show on the net.

I suppose it's good that the WWF brought back Rock for the night, to sort of make everyone "comfortable" again. But I hope they don't get everyone's hopes up. Cause Rocky will be around for what? 2 months? 3 months? Then it's another movie.

At this point, I'd like the Rock to leave too. He's better off making movies.

RFMark, stick a fork in Austin, he's done. The wife beater situation has hit the mainstream and the WWE is so luck he was already suspended when the news broke.

I'm glad Rock's back, now I wonder who he'll feud with. Hopefully Eddie will kick Flair's ass and move on to the People's Champ (that is if Rock stays on Raw).

Rock's doing another movie in September and may pull double duty.

Rock VS Eddie would be GREAT!

What do you think of this story line? Eddie's family has worked hard to make a name in wrestling. The Rocks family worked hard to make a name in wrestling. Which family is truly the greatest family in WWE history?

You can throw in Gold Dust and Shawn Stasiak for comic relief, and Randy Orton for a major push.

WWEFallon, I can't stick a fork in it... not yet anyWHO.What do you think of this story line? Eddie's family has worked hard to make a name in wrestling. The Rocks family worked hard to make a name in wrestling. Which family is truly the greatest family in WWE history? PanterA, I believe you are a genius. I'd love to see this as long as Eddy remains a heat-able heel. At many times as he does a promo, he is used in as comic relief, not a believable heel like Y2J and Jeff Jarrett has been over their collective careers.

Pants, what about Randy Orton and Stasiak... is it all about legacy because I don't see much athletic ability or mic skills in either one. I really don't see it.

Rocky just said what everybody in the locker room was feeling. NO ONE gets to just leave without saying anything. Austin's one of the select few who could have gotten away with saying "I just need a day to get my shit straight" and actually get that day. But no he tried to sneak out. And did anyone notice the almost profane abuse of pronouns that the Rock used monday?

Stop asking the Fiend how he feels! He never feels good and he hates you ALL!!

do you think that rock should move to raw to balance out the superstars in each brand?
