hi hk...

at work, there's a water thing with both hot and cold water. the button for the hot water is red, the one for cold is blue. this makes perfect sense to me... but i have a friend (she is russian) who always goes for the blue button thinking that it's the hot, and the red for cold. we were discussing it, and she said that she thought maybe it was something to do with the russian culture or something... like maybe that's how it is in russia. so i was wondering if there's anything to that. and, if not, is there another reason why she might think about this the way she does?

thanks!

In Russia, both the hot and cold are labeled red. Get it? 'Cos they're communist!

Hot and cold are different everywhere. At most homes, hot is on the left. However, I've found plenty of public bathrooms that change it up.

There are 4 Russian immagrants in one of my classes. All identify hot water with a blue handle and cold water with a red handle. Weird to us, but not to them. (What was unusual they said, was actually getting hot water from any pipe).

Do you know what the primary difference is b/w capitalism and communism?

Under capitalism man exploits man. Under communism it's the other way around.
