i dunt know if this happens to other people. but for me..when i like a guy alot...he starts to like me back. I mean...unless you are shooting for brad pitt or something, it is highly possible to get the person. Also, why are u liking these guys? If you are just liking them for looks, then that is ur problem. You should like them for their personality...and part of their personality is how they treat you. So if they treat u nice, chances are that they do like you

Amy, as you've pointed out and as we've discussed the pattern of attraction and rejection seems to occur in the same fashion.

I suspect therefore that you are attracted to people that you feel will in some way be unobtainable (b/c of age or distance or existing gf, etc). This allows you to relax with them and become more comfortable and open, which in turn increases your attraction to them.
