I doubt O and A are gonna get fired for this although its a possibility. If they did get fired I think Ron and Fez would be screwed. Although Ron and Fez are getting good ratings O and A are still the anchors of WNEW. No way WNEW would stick with a hot talk format if O and A were not there anymore. Ro n and Fez would have to catch on with a new station.

i'm sorry if this has been said before but the catholic league want the fcc to revoke wnew's license... which means no more O&A, no more ferall, no more love line tape, and no more ron and fez.... but they are number one so i'm sure they'll get rehired, hopefully in new york. that is of course if the catholic league's evil plan works, which i doubt it will. O&A are in some hot water either way though

Welp, aren't the Knights of Columbus catholic? I mean that is the organization that got the "In God We Trust" on $$ and "One Nation Under God" in the Pledge. So religious orgs (as unfortunate as it is) have clout (is that spelled right?!?). I agree with Fuzzybutt, and everyone else for that matter, but the sad reality is that sensible people like us don't always get our way... All we can do it hope and PROTEST!! >:)

The WNEW/New York afternoon talkers and Westwood One syndicated personalities are off at least through the end of this week after news broke of their contest encouraging couples to have sex in the city's riskiest places; the couple who had their encounter in St. Patrick's Cathedral - just feet from worshippers - were even arrested. At press time, officials at Westwood One were unable to confirm if Opie & Anthony's time off was scheduled or an enforced vacation.

Howard Stern has said and done a lot more (in his show not via proxy). The religious nuts were outraged. They complained to the FCC.

Bottom line, these groups have no power and Stern is still on and King. Nothing will happen to O and A. Certainly nothing will happen to anyone else on the station.

The Church was delighted that a married heterosexual couple had consensual sex in the church. Such an act is clearly the highest depravity. As opposed to say, buggering a young boy for 15 years.
