This is real embarassing but I feel comfortable with you RF.net guys.

For some reason I don't think I can make out with a girl. It is so fudged up. Everytime I have a girl with me and i have the chance to make out with her, I just cant bring myself to do it. I keep feeling like Im gonna mess up and make an ass out of myself. The odd thing is, 2 years ago I had a girlfriend and we made out alot. But all of a sudden I just cant bring myself to kiss anyone again.

Whats wrong with me Horde King??? Or is this more of a Loveline question?

i am not going to be a deek, but. . . suck it up and don't give a shit if you make an ass out of yourself. Hell, i'm terrible at it (have been tld otherwise a lot), but i keep trying and trying. no matter what happened, everytime you make out with someone take it as trial run. McNabbShouldDie - The advice given above that you should keep at it and you'll improve is quite good. Plus, this is certainly a case where getting there is 1/2 the fun.

However, you describe making out with your former girlfiend. Further, the exact words you use are "I just cant bring myself to kiss anyone again."

This brings the issue of the past girlfriend into the equation. The most likely explanations are that you are still carrying a bit of a torch for her, or that she insulted your masculinity or sexual ability during the course of your breakup. The latter can make it very hard to risk putting yourself into the "make out" situation again. After all, if you never do it, no one will say anything bad about your technique.

The only thing i can really add is that it was more of her breaking up with me then me breaking up with her. I wasnt ready to break up but she wanted to and there wasnt much i could do because im not a stalker nor do i rape girls that im mad at. After she broke up with me it took me about 2 weeks to get over it, but she never insulted me and i never heard anything about her saying anything to her friends. Maybe its time I give Dr. Drew a call? <P>

Being dumped is a blow to the ego. You describe yourself as having a large ego. Avoiding making out may be a defense mechanism to protect yourself from getting hurt again. This would be especially true if you associate strong emotions w/making out (like love).
