Put some sort of bacitracin (like Neosporin) on it. It will prevent it from weeping and getting infected.
Trust The Fuzzybutt.

If it's infected, keep a close eye on it and how you feel in general. It's possible you may need antibiotics.
A dab of bacitracin is so much less fuss.

I had a rug burn on my coccyx. Neosporin is the shiznit!
And Satelite, wash it with an anti-bacterial soap, slather in Neosporin, and cover with a band-aid. Clean and change the band-aid at leat twice a day. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days go to the doctor.

Well, if you MUST know: it was on the carpeted step up to the whirl pool.

Its probably infected but hey, who cares... anyway, should I put any salt (haha) or that orange stuff on it? Or just keep on with the soap and bandades... btw, it seems, since I took off the bandade and didnt replace it, that I keep getting a rug burn over my current one.. lol

"Orange stuff?" Do you mean iodine. If it's infected, clean it w/peroxide, smear on some iodine and add a dab of bacetracin. Top with a bandaid and replace every 4-6 hours.
