So I had to spend more than two hours in the rain replacing my dead car battery, and I actually was so freaked out by all thos local sniper madness that I asked my dad if I could use his vest. How lame is that?

In certain parts of DC you need a bulletproof vest year-round.

I feel like "Big Pussy" from "The Soprano's".

I feel like I am working with the FEDS and I'll never know when or where that bullet will come from.

I bet this is also what it must have felt like to be guilty of "thought-crime" in '1984'.

Me too. Seriously though, all you DC'ers be CAREFUL. And if you live in a high building, go up on the roof and look down onto other roofs. Absolutely ANYTHING or ANYONE suspicious, call 911. You could be the hero who stops this all. Thats how itll end.

As I watched 'Red Dragon' today, I kept flashing back to this week's R&F shows.. talk about snipers, military experiences, vans, young boy, pattern/no pattern, terrorizing, copy-cats, rifle, silencers, 'veteran who just snapped', wanting an audience, keeping a journal, intrigued by other famous murderers..

Why did I keep thinking about this movie having to do with this sniper?.. Did he/she/they get a sneak-preview to the flick?.. or am I just all caught up in the talk of it all?....

What was more disturbing
is not ONE caller today
talked about the victims. It
was all about this pyscho
sob, like were making him
out to be some mystical
hero or something.
Everyone has this theory,
knows this about guns, and
yet nobody even brings up
the poor victims. Now a little
girl has no mother, a wife
has no husband, all
because of this person. If
RF talk tomorrow about
anything pertaining to the
sniper, it would be nice to
hear some calls about the
poor victims and less on
this sob!!

And the fact is we may
never catch him. Personally
i think he is good, but time
usually takes it's toll, and all
it takes is one slipp up and
he will be nabbed, dead or
alive. sniper can stay alive
for months, years in the
wilderness so who knows!

If you read the fine print on that vest you will see that it is probably not going to stop anything coming out of a high power rifle anyway. You've got to be realistic and know that you have a much better chance of being struck by lightning, hitting the lottery or you will be run over by that legendary bus long before some nut picks you out of the millions of DC area targets. Not lame at all! I was supposed to go to Hagerstown for business today. Thank God the trip was cancelled. I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a "walking target" the second you leave your home.

I really hope they get the bastard soon.

How's that for twisted? I finally get a post mentioned on the show, and it's over the issue of me going nuts outta my head and wearing a flack jacket while working on my car. And yes, my dad said that this wouldn't stop the bullet, but if it's a body shot, it's better than nothing at all. All I know is, I gased up my car this morning, ran to the store, and now I'm home. I'm off today and tomorrow, and I'm camping it out in my apartment.

I have the feeling he will shoot another kid if he gets the chance. And right out of my development is just about 100yards from I-95. It's kinda scary and that why I am actually staying inside as much as possible.

Tonight I had to stop by Target, go by the ATM, buy some stamps at the post office and gas up my car...all activites that required me to stand in the open in some very empty business areas. Brrrrr. You start looking around and thinking, "now where would I try and hide?"

i leave work at 2am and take alot of backroads on the way home...
i passed several parked trucks like the one they say the sniper may be using and then passed a white one on the road...have to admit that I had a sense of fear and kept looking in my rearview mirror and moving my head from side to side just in case i needed to dodge a shot...
and i live in jersey...

Given the fact that this guy watches the news and the guardian angels are now pumping gas for people, i wouldn't be suprised to see him pop one of them. Christ I couldn't live there now, i would sit inside under a blanket every day, Mojo you are a brave brave man.

Man, I was closing my store tonight, when a big, white monster truck slowly cruised by the big plate window we have along the side of the building...I nearly dover under a table...
