Scott Herman has been brought in as the new WNEW PD/GM.

Gary Blum, the acting GM and current GSM, has been moved to K-Rock, as well as other sales people.

I'm not sure of Matt Devoti's current status at the station.

The flip is near.

Man, people need to have more confidence. Most rock stations on the east coast have at least one talk program...WNEW will probably stick with R&F, and possibly Loveline as well...

Hey Mojo, I caught something when listening to the reply this morning...

Ron said their were offered a mid-day "gig" but they didnt want it cause it was too "suburban." I bet you my entire savings that JFK made them an offer. If JFK went that far, then I bet they will contine to carry the show even if R&F move.

Also have you noticed? The Daytime Promos are strong now....

Their ratings dropped in both middday and night time, according to Dentist. I don't see any reason Blum'll keep them around unless he personally likes the show.

Of Course their ratings would drop initially. They fucking move their time slot every few months.

Let us not forget how O&A were saying how GREAT their Night slot numbers were back a few months. If you LEAVE them the FUCK ALONE for a few months, their ratings will go back up again.

And as for DC, they need to get R&F on during a normal hour, and it'll go through the roof as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to see the numbers for Loveline here in NY. Probably shitty.

Yeah, I knew it was us the second I heard that. And while I'd love to have the boys here, they are a New York kinda show. It's like their natural habitat. But you're right, the promos are all over the place now, even on the weekends during all the football shit, which is massive exposure on WJFK. So here's hoping someday, somehow, things work out...still doesn't explain why they took O'Reilly over the boys...that was just insane...

I spoke to a person at the station a few weeks ago and she was saying that they were looking for a local show for mid days. I talked to her for about 20 minutes.

"I have been a WJFK since day one"... lol They are letting the station go to shit.

We all know that the line up should be.

Howard 6am - 11am
Ron and Fez 11am - 3pm
Don and Mike 3pm 7pm
Junkies 7 pm to 11pm .
What ever the hell they want

That is a good line for DC.

I know you guys in NY hate Don and Mike but they get great ratings in DC.

WJFK will never be #1 in all groups but it would kick ass for men 18+ and they would also have a strong female audience.

You guys in NY have to realize that the urban stations rule in DC and that will never change.

We want Ron and Fez live in DC.

Increased promos notwithstanding, the problem is that when I've talked to guys who listen to D&M and O&A (when they were on) and I say "Ron and Fez is the best show of the three", I get the same response: "Who?"

Most people just can't stay up to listen to the 11-3 replay. Even the weekend replays are aired late at night.

Jafter's right, D&M may not appeal to us, but damn if they don't get the station killer ratings, and that means WJFK is more likely to stay talk, and thusly keep R&F at ANYTIME...same for the Junkies...

I listen to R&F at work(N.Y) and I catch D&M on my ride home(Princeton)from the YSP broadcast. They work well together. D&M have gotten much better since the pressure of N.Y is off them. It would work, but if I was D&M would I want to put up with O&A fans YOU GUYS SUCK calls?

R&F will also get lower ratings when you split the listenership by replaying the show at night in its entirety.

nearly 90% of the time, new GM/PD means *new* format, completely. Fire everyone, and start new.

I love R&F as much as the next guy, but if R&F don't pull the ratings up, why would the new GM/PD want that on his plate?

He's gonna sterilize the entire 9th floor and make WNEW a brand new station.

Did I miss something on Friday? I didn't hear the whole show, and today NEW is playng the exact same show at 10 and 7. Are they just taking the day off for Columbus Day, or has the other shoe finally dropped?
